发行通用邮票小型张（第5号）-
纪念香港邮政参与「日本国际邮票展2001」

香港邮政将于二○○一年八月一日隆重发行「通用邮票小型张(第五号)」，以作纪念参与二○○一年八月一日至七日在东京国际展示场举行的日本国际邮票展2001。
今年日本国际邮票展2001乃获国际集邮联合会赞助，属世界性综合集邮展览。邮展将以"邮票庆典 - 寰宇梦想"为主题，在新世纪之初，推广集邮，希望藉此启发儿童 - 我们未来的主人翁 - 对集邮的兴趣。而且，各地爱好集邮人士将云集东京，参与是次盛会，通过这项活动，促进文化交流，亦令是次邮展饶有意义。
这张小型张描绘的锦鲤，色彩斑斓，栩栩如生。锦鲤寓意活力充沛，象徵祥和幸福，为港日两地人们所喜爱。
邮品包括邮票小型张、套摺及已盖销纪念封 (只限于发行首日在38 间集邮局发售)。

"Definitive Stamp Sheetlet (No. 5) to Commemorate Hongkong Post's Participation in the Japan World Stamp Exhibition 2001"

Hongkong Post will issue the "Definitive Stamp Sheetlet (No.5)" on 1 August 2001 to commemorate the participation in the Japan World Stamp Exhibition 2001 (PHILANIPPON '01). The exhibition will be held at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center (Tokyo Big Sight) from 1 to 7 August 2001.
PHILANIPPON '01 is a General World Stamp Exhibition that has been officially granted the patronage of the International Federation of Philately (FIP). With the theme of PHILANIPPON '01 : "A celebration of stamps - dreams from across the globe", the international exhibition aims to promote philately in the new Century. It is held in the first year of the 21st Century to inspire stamp collecting among children, the leaders of the new Century. PHILANIPPON '01 is a significant gathering because cultural exchange will be achieved through philately.
This sheetlet depicts several vibrant and colourful carps (koi) which Japanese and Hong Kong people are fond of. The carps also symbolise peace, energy and good fortune.
Stamp products include stamp sheetlet, presentation pack and serviced souvenir cover (available at the 38 philatelic offices on the issue day only).
Sales Arrangement
On 1 August 2001, all post offices will be opened in normal hours.
Hand-back service will be provided at all post offices on 1 August 2001.
All stamp products will be available at all post offices starting from 1 August to
14 August 2001. Starting from 15 August 2001, the stamp products will be available at the 38 philatelic offices only.
